This single-family residential house built in 1951 was a fun and quick project. Our upgrades and repair helped transform the home from a 1950’s traditional look to a more modern 2021 look. We have been really impressed by the friendly neighbors in this area and cannot wait to help add some additional wonderful neighbors to SE Madison St.

This project was a unique and interesting one. When we found this home listed on the RMLS, we offered cash, did a very quick close, and offered to have a large earnest money deposit released as soon as the sewer was scoped. This offer appealed to the seller over another offer.
We are super excited that the home sold nearly right away, and the family that purchased it will enjoy an absolutely beautiful North Portland home.

I wish we had some funny stories about this one, but in truth, this one was all about lack of stress and good luck. We were pretty weary from constant renovation projects and felt we weren’t ready for another flip, but all of that changed when we saw this property listed on RMLS. Almost everything swung our way on this one, very few surprises and a lot of things came in under the original budget.
It was a gem that had not seen a single upgrade —we had to do a full-scale rehab!

This project included something we had not encountered before. The previous owner had an estate sale company sell EVERYTHING out of the home, meaning the kitchen cabinets, furnace, light fixture off the walls and ceiling, and even the doors for bedrooms and a bathroom.
So our task was to put the house back together and make it functional…
Reducing Waste In Each Project
In the work we do, revitalizing homes, we often come across appliances, accessories, and goods that will not work for the particular project but we do our best to inventory and re-use as much as we can. This is not always the most efficient way to flip a house by any means but it is important to us that we take care to keep an eye on our environmental footprint and the impact we make. We not only work to make an impact on a micro-level but are focused on the impact we make on a macro-level.
Here’s how we were able to re-use items and reduce waste in a recent project in SE Portland.
